A customer ordered a card for a new arrival. One parent is from Wales and the other from Scotland, so the brief was to incorporate both nations into the card. As baby cards are often soft and muted tones, I wondered how two bright flags could be part of a pretty baby card. The answer was to tone them both to the same colours as the other wood features on the card. Another challenge was to cut out the detail from in between the cot rails to create depth. It's a while since I have fussy cut such small areas. Still, it's all completed and the customer is happy with it.
