I don't know if you have ever visited Beaumaris on Anglesey but it is the sweetest little town. It is right on the edge of the Menai Strait, the body of water that separates the Isle of Anglesey and the mainland. The town is steeped in history and you can see a beautiful mix of the different ages in the structures there, starting with the Beaumaris Castle, the Gaol, the Courthouse through to the shops, tea rooms and hotels. It all works. It is unspoiled by the modern day fads of modernisation. It has stood its ground and it's an absolute pleasure to walk around.
I am very pleased to say that I am part of the Beaumaris Welsh Artisans Market; a lovely group of artisans from Anglesey and the mainland who have welcomed me in joining them this year. Each of us sells different wares; all handcrafted by the person or persons you see standing behind that table. Nothing is duplicated making a visit to our stands interesting and varied.
This coming Sunday will be the third weekend that I have been part of the market this year and I'd like to invite you to come and see what we're all about.
Showing my makes on the internet is only so good. I KNOW that people say that everything seems so much better in "real life". You can see the full size, the colours and the detail. You can envisage a piece in your home.
We are open between 10am and 4 pm on Sunday 19th of May and many more weekends throughout the summer which are noted below in the flyer. We can be located on the green area to the side of the castle outside the David Hughes Community Centre and Library. There is plenty of parking, disabled access and you can bring your four-legged friends along too.
I hope to see you there.
