     Images and Products
  • All photographs are the property of Patchwork Island and use without permission is forbidden.
  • We endeavour to show every product in its true form and colour/s. however, due to different screens and devices, the photographs may appear differently according to the device. 
  • All of our items are made by hand, meaning no two items will ever be the same even if you order more than one of the same item.

  • All orders must be fully paid for before we dispatch. Failure to pay for the order will result in a cancellation of any contract between you and us. 
  • For BESPOKE items ( made to order) we will require 50% of the full price before proceeding with the order. Once the order is complete, the remaining monies owed should be paid before we dispatch. Failure to pay the outstanding balance for any just reason will result in us canceling our contract with you and the initial 50% down payment will not be refunded.
  • BESPOKE* orders will be photographed and a copy of that image will be emailed to you, the customer for prior approval. Once the design is approved, full payment must be received before we dispatch your order. 

Delivery Information

• All orders must be paid for in full before they ship or are collected
• We ship Monday to Friday.
• We use Royal Mail as our primary delivery company however, we use other couriers for larger and heavier items. ALL items need to be signed for. Once your item is dispatched, we will send you an email to confirm that your order is complete and on it's journey to you. We can only give you an estimate of delivery times and cannot guarantee the times stated by the courier companies. Should you be still waiting for your order, please contact us and we will try and chase its whereabouts.
• If you are ordering a bespoke item, we will notify you when your item will be ready to ship.
• Orders can be collected in person from our premises by prior arrangement
• Please note, we do not deliver our products ourselves in person.

    Returns and Refunds
We hope you will be satisfied with your order from Patchwork Island Paper Creations, however, should you not be happy with your purchase we will endeavour to correct the situation.
  • If you are for some reason you no longer wish to keep your order but there is no fault, you can return your order to us for a full refund. Postage will not be refunded.*
  • If you are not happy with your order, please contact us by email within 5 days of receiving your order to inform us about any problem you have with your order. Please include any photographs of the order to support your claim.
  • We always package our products well for their journey. If damage has been incurred by the courier, we cannot be held responsible for that damage, unfortunately. We will help you with any information you need to claim from the courier.
  • If the order you have received from us is incorrect by our doing*, we will replace the product forthwith.
Please note that after receiving and accepting the photographic proof of your order, bespoke orders cannot be returned due to their personalised nature unless there is a defect in the product that was caused by us.
Spelling, grammatical and date errors on the order form are not our responsibility and will not be accepted as our fault and will not be refunded

Privacy Policy

We are a home-based business; a cottage industry; a micro business. We don't have offices or even a showroom. We don't have views over the city. Our view is over our garden and our chickens. We make pretty things from card and paper. That's it really. However, we have a website and we also have a Facebook page and through those platforms, data or information about you may be stored. So, here is all the blurb about what we store and do (or not do) with your data.

Our Website
You may come to our website directly by typing in our website name (url) but you may visit us via our FaceBook page or from a search engine. That information is stored in our control panel. We don't use the information in any way other than to look at where the majority of our visitors are coming from or which are the most popular tag words used to bring out website listing into the top of the search engine.
Once you reach our website, you can browse through each category. Whilst doing that, our control panel may store some words you have entered into our search box; words that you have used when looking for a particular product, for example, Birthday or bunting. Our system may remember those words for a future time and it may show you more search-related products on our website that relate to that particular word. 
If you make a purchase from our website, you will need to enter your personal details such as name, address, email address and a contact telephone number. We use these solely for the purpose of sending you your order. 99% of the time, we will not telephone you unless there is a problem with your order or we want to ask you about something relating to your order. Our first preference in contacting you would be by email but if we do not hear back from you via email, that is when we may telephone you on the number you have provided. We do not telephone you with marketing, promotions or ANYTHING other than questioning your order. So, chances are, you won't be receiving a phone call from us ever.
You can check out through our system without creating an account. If however, you want to make future purchases and you perhaps get fed up of entering your name, address etc over and over, you can create an account. Our system then stores your name, address, telephone number and email address for future visits to our website. However, the choice is entirely up to you.
We have an optional newsletter. You can sign up to receive a newsletter from us here at Patchwork Island. We know how annoying it can be when you are incessantly bombarded every day with emails about the same products from the same websites. Well, here's the good news, we won't be sending you a steady stream of newsletters. you may receive one a month, maybe less than that. Our newsletter will only be emails with information about new products or forthcoming events we will be trading at and maybe, from time to time, promotional codes for discounts to be used on our website. That's it. Nothing more. We do NOT send out any newsletters in the post.

Our Office
Any data or information regarding orders is not kept by us in our office. To be honest, we don't have the room! But seriously, we do not print out your orders as hard copies. Everything is left in our control panel online. This data is only accessible to us and our hosting company CREATE A SHOPPE. Create A Shoppe have to have access to our control panel in case we mess something up and they have to sort out the mess we created on our website. Other than that, they don't look at our control panel.

Paying for an order via PayPal.
We accept three forms of payment: 
Cash. If you would like to collect your order from us in person and many of our customers do, you can pay in cash.
PayPal. If you order online through our website, you will be asked to pay via PayPal. PayPal is a very popular form of paying for something and it is used by millions of people all around the world. You do NOT have to have a PayPal account to pay using PayPal either. It's a simple way to pay safely and securely online. If you pay for a product from our website and wish it to be posted to you, then you will have to enter your name, address, telephone number and an email address into PayPal's system. That information comes to us but nothing else. No bank details or passwords or anything other than what we need to send your order to you. PayPal card reader. When we are at fayres, often times people haven't got the cash on them to buy from us so we carry a card reader. It is a mobile device and is linked to our PayPal account. This allows you to pay for your goods from us, like you would in the supermarket, by swiping your card and entering a pin/ or using contactless. It's a simple process and it's done in seconds like in the supermarket. You can ask for a receipt to be sent to your email address. We will ask YOU to enter your email address and once you have done that, you will receive an email from PayPal containing a receipt for your purchase from us. We do not give you a paper receipt from our machine although we are more than happy to give you a written receipt.Just ask at the time you pay.
Any information about the payment made via PayPal online or through our PayPal card reader will create an email with some of your details. These details are safe and secure with no mention of your bank details or pin number.
 All in all, we do not hold much data about you unless you buy anything from us and we certainly don't sell any data we have or give it to any third party.
Please note though, any data we have can be deleted at any time by emailing us using our contact form or you can telephone us on 01407 741416.
